This is the part of the process where you have to sit down and think about what it is that you want your site to do.

It all gets a whole lot more interesting once this is done. Please be as specific as you can with the questions as this will help us to make sure that we are on the right track with your designs.

Describe your requirements in a couple of sentences. Outline what you want the site to do for your business

Do you require any parts of your existing site to be integrated into your new site?

Please outline the pages you would like to see on your website and what you would like each page to contain. i.e. Home page, About us, Products, Latest News etc
Will the website need to change on a regular basis? Do you need a Blog?
Do you have the website content or would you like the copy written for you by our copy writer?
Are there existing images available or do you require a photographer or images created?
Do you need to capture data about your users? If so what do you want to capture?
Define your Audience
Who is your target audience? Current customers, potential customers, suppliers, competitors, women etc.
What are the primary actions that a visitor should take when they visit your site? i.e. Make a purchase, call for information, see your products, find your location, refer their friends etc.
How often do you want visitors to return to your site and how often do you think they will?
Website Look and Layout
Provide five website design examples you like. What is it that you like about these sites?
Are there any elements of these sites that you would like to incorporate into your site?

Do you have an existing brand identity that you would like to incorporate into the site? (logo, specific colours, brochures etc.?)
Do you have ideas of the colours to be used, and colours you don't like? Please provide example sites.
Do you have an intended website screen size - 1024x768, 800x600, or stretch to the entire width of the screen?
If the site isn't the entire width of the screen do you have a preference for left or centre alignment?
Do you have a horizontal or left-side vertical preference for the main navigation?
Do you have existing business cards or other printed material we need to match?
Do you have existing Social Media pages such as Facebook or Twitter that you wish to incorporate?

Will email marketing be an important part of your drive to web strategy?
Use three adjectives to describe how the user should perceive the new site. (examples: conservative, progressive, friendly, formal, casual, serious, energetic, humorous, professional)
Website Marketing and Promotion
How will you promote your website? (Online advertising, word of mouth, press releases etc.)
How will you measure the success of your website? (i.e. increase in site traffic, increased sales, brand recognition)
Have you researched your online competition so you have an idea of what you do and don’t want on your site?

Which Payment Gateway will you be using?
Do you have any requirements that you feel fall outside of the general scope of an online store?

Are there any other technical requirements that we need to be made aware of?
